Ruth Crane, 84, Annapolis, Illinois passed away at 3:02 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her daughter’s home in Annapolis, Illinois.
Born in Crawford County, Illinois on December 8, 1928; she was the daughter of Bradie C. Pickering and Mourean (Meeker) Pickering. She was a farm wife and worked as a supervisor at Crawford Electronics for 28 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Her family and friends knew her as Gram.
On September 18, 1946, Ruth married Clarence Crane, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1981. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Dean Pickering and daughter-in-law, Katie Crane.
Ruth is survived by one son, Lyle Crane; a daughter and son-in-law, Lana & Ronald “Rich” Richardson; five grandchildren, Ken & Sarah Crane, Wendi & Tony Reynolds, Samantha & Ben Gaither, Cher & Justin Childress and Dallas & Molly Richardson; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lee Pickering and those special to Ruth and considered family are Max & Connie Evans and sons.
Rev. Will Bynum will officiate the service. Burial to follow in White Oak Cemetery.
